Zhen Jia is now a Lecturer/Assistant Professor at the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU). She serves as the Director of the Cloud Computing and Intelligent Technology Laboratory Platform. She was a visiting scholar at the QA group of D5 department, Max-Planck Institute for Informatics (MPII).

In recent years, she has been the main researcher of the projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Sichuan Science and Technology Program, and several international collaboration projects. She has published more than 60 papers in international and domestic academic journals and conferences, and has obtained 2 invention patents and 5 computer software copyrights. She is the deputy president of the Natural Language Processing Committee and a member of the Big Data Committee of the Sichuan Computer Society. She won the third prize in the Tibet Autonomous Region Science and Technology Award in 2018.
